We're back in Toronto!
We're excited to be back!
Our Annual General Meeting and Educational Seminars will be held in May in Toronto, the host city. The CNSF Annual Congress 2024 is being held at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, which is also the host location for the AETC Conference and Annual General Meeting. Our conference will run from Wednesday, May 22nd to Friday, May 24th, 2024.
The planning is well underway and coming together nicely. Dinners, speakers and social events are all to prove exceptional. As many of our members are also CAET members, we joined forces this year to have our social event at the spectacular CN Tower. There are plenty of details in the Journal to help with your planning. We hope for a big turnout this year from all parts of the country. Recognizing that conferences are expensive, as is travel, I urge you to speak to your employers and see what assistance they can provide.
Please don't forget to apply for the available bursaries as these are a great opportunity to offset the expenses related to the conference. Do you have an intriguing topic or case study that you would like to share with your fellow members? Consider presenting! The bursary is a great incentive, but we would love to hear what knowledge you can share with us. An educated technologist is the foundation of a good lab, and the educational seminars offered
at the conference are one of the best ways to improve your knowledge and skills, which can be brought back to your lab and shared with others.
We look forward to reconnecting or meeting you at our first in person conference since 2019. It has been a long wait, and we are working hard to make it a conference to remember.

Weather conditions
Average weather temps in Toronto in May range between 10 degrees to 17 degrees. Toronto isn't a rainy city, but it is a lake city so be prepared for humid weather. It can be very windy during May.

The AETC Social Event is a way for you to get to know your fellow technicians and other like-minded individuals in the industry. This year, we are going to the top of the CN Tower with our friends from the CAET to take in the breathtaking views.
